Halloween 2010

This year we went to downtown Buda for some trick or treating. They call it Booda Fest. Clever, huh? We went with the Davis'.

Archer as Buzz Lightyear. Savanna as an Indian. Kyle as Darth Vader.

Clarke showing off the teeth that he got. They just made him drool. They were gross.

Clarke was Handy Manny. It was kind of a lame costume, but he that's who he wanted to be. And it worked out because it was also comfy for him to wear jeans...we just added a shirt with tools on it and a hard hat. I think these kids had a blast.

After Halloween, you can drop your candy off at a local dentist office and they will give you $1/pound of candy and send it overseas to the troops. So we went the Monday after Halloween to drop off the candy. Clarke did so good. He carried the bag in and dumped it in the big box. Then as we were leaving he realized what had happened and threw a huge fit! He wanted that candy. We all got a kick out of how sad it was to take candy away from a kid that just discovered it. Oh well, he got over it pretty quickly! Don't worry, he had his fair share of candy...so did I. That's why we had to get rid of it QUICK!

Garner State Park Camping Trip

In October, we headed to Garner State Park for a camping trip with some of our friends. It was so much fun. The weather was perfect. We grilled hot dogs, played volleyball, went hiking, some went swimming the COLD water and relaxed. I think everyone had a blast. It was Clarke's first time to camp and he thought it was so fun! He loved sleeping in the tent. And he did really well. We were surprised with how well he slept. He sure was worn out! Here are some highlights:

Hiking with Daddy. It was about a 3 hour hike. Daniel had the hardest job :).

First time sleeping in the tent.

Can you tell how cold the water was? It was October and we were in the Frio River, afterall.

Clarke getting tired in the river...but he didn't want to get out because he was having so much fun.

This is the best shot of the kids...well, most of them. The adults were way out numbered!

This is the view from the top of the 'mountain' we climbed. Ok, so it was just a really big hill, but this is still a great view! Thank you, Lord for beautiful country and great friends!

Sea World and Schlitterbahn

This was the first Summer that Clarke was able to really enjoy water/theme parks. We visited Sea World with Sugar and Poppy. Then we went to Schlitterbahn with DaDa, G-Pop, GiGi and Uncle Whit. Clarke thought both were a blast. We didn't get any pictures at Schlitterbahn because we were in the water all day and didn't wanna ruin my camera. But, we did enjoy it so much that Clarke and I are getting season passes for next summer! Here are the Sea World pictures:

Not so sure about Shamu.

Family on top of the pirate ship...awesome playground.

Clarke loving the big kid slide. He doesn't care so much for the 'toddler areas'. He goes straight for the biggest slide he can find and laughs all the way down. He has no fear!

Clarke and Daniel on the 'roller coaster'.

Checking out the aquarium with Sugar.

Summer 2010

Our Summer was super busy. And our Fall has followed suit. Here are some pictures from Summer 2010. Enjoy!

Clarke went bowling at his buddy Kyle's birthday party. He loved it. It was the SLOWEST bowling game ever with all of the kids...but they had a blast!

We played in a kickball tournament. It was lots of fun, even though we lost.

We were given a playscape. Clarke has loved playing on it.

Clarke loves to help Daddy in the yard. He thinks he's really mowing!

We went to Lowes one day and they were giving away firetruck kits for kids. They got aprons a hammer and all the things for building a firetruck. Clarke had a great time building his. He's getting really good at knowing his tools. He knows to ask for a screwdriver if he's trying to fix something. I'm sure Daniel is so proud!

Goin' Simmin'

This video was taken especially for Sugar. She has a hard time watching us play rough with Clarke...but he LOVES it.

Oh and Clarke says 'going swimming' like this..."goin' simmin". pretty stinking cute!

Rot Rally 2010

It's become one of our family traditions to go to the ROT Rally in Austin. It's a motorcycle parade that goes through downtown Austin. It's really loud, but Clarke and Daniel love it. This year, we went with the Davis Family.

After the parade, we walked down to 6th street to see Danielle's not-so-little brother. He's a bouncer at a club. Archer and Clarke thought the bar scene was fun...they were both dancing like crazy boys.
